fight against destitution

WWLEF works in providing support for destitute asylum seekers, refugees and members of the BAME/BME minority groups. We provide this support through a number of ways:

Clients can be referred or are self referred. Once upon registration with us they can receive weekly food parcels and access housing support.

Clients can also use the internet, play pool and get a hot meal.

WWLEF cooperates with a number of letting agencies in our areas of operation to be able to provide accommodation for destitute asylum seekers. this accommodation is available for

a limited time whilst clients re-engage with  the asylum system or make other choices about their future.

WWLEF aims to support individuals in re-engaging with the asylum system in order to take control of their own circumstances. We do this by providing advice and information about the ways they can do this and by recommending them to other agencies that can assist them in this process.

WWLEF runs a separate drop-in for women, providing a safe and comfortable environment where women can access destitution support, take part in art, craft and cooking activities  and build friendships.
