About

WWLEF welcomes and supports asylum-seekers and refugees within

the Lancashire, Liverpool and Manchester areas.  We aim to reduce    isolation and to meet basic needs, to enable healthy living, meaningful

activity, and social opportunities.  By so doing we hope to create a sense of community, and to empower those we meet to develop their

own lives and to integrate into the local community.

WWLEF is based on 5 core values, which underpin how it delivers its services.

1. Welcome:  We offer a welcome to people seeking asylum in the Lancashire, Liverpool City and Manchester City areas and to refugees, irrespective of gender, race, religion, political views, sexuality, or lifestyle. Our aim is to offer acceptance to all based on our common humanity.

2. Fairness:  We aim to be fair in all that we do, including in the distribution of donated items to our clients. We prioritise on the basis of need, and we are impartial as between different individuals and groups.

3. Honesty:  We are honest with our clients and each other.

4. Compassion: We treat our clients and each other compassionately.

5. Respect: We respect our clients and each other, and we respect the different choices which each of us is empowered to make about our lives.

In response to the outbreak of the Corona Virus (COVID-19) which has killed several millions of people in various countries around the world and with the United Kingdom amongst the highly affected, by virtue of the living standards of the asylum seekers, refugees and the Black, Asian Minority Ethnic groups (BAME), World-Wide Life Enhancement Facility (WWLEF) was formed. Its aim is to aid in combatting the Corona Virus especially from amongst communities occupied by refugees, asylum seekers and the BAME communities. To bring about positive and lasting change to the lives of refugees, asylum seekers and members of the Black and Asian minority ethnic groups. WWLEF realised that refugees and asylum seekers are often isolated and vulnerable in their new environment. Their growth and assimilation in a new society would be made easier with the help of a community. With this motivation, WWLEF decided to build such a strong and independent Refugee Community Organisation.

WWLEF brings community members together who find strength and support in each other. They provide valuable services and conduct activities for members. This transforms them into empowered, confident, skilled and knowledgeable citizens. Who subsequently contribute to the local economy with their talents and hard work.

They were impacted by immigration and asylum support legislation, homelessness, poverty, discrimination, and unemployment. WWLEF has developed its own free, impartial, and accessible advice service for refugees and those seeking asylum.

WWLEF intends a refugee week by December 2021 when lockdown measures are all uplifted in the UK. We hope to organise and promote cross-cultural arts and sports activities during the Refugee Week and intend to do so annually. WWLEF works to develop and promote a wide range of creative activities that raises public awareness and encourages appreciation of the refugee’s experiences and skills. WWLEF will launch a Refugee Cultural Festival as a platform for refugees to showcase their talents.
